Help build a healthy community
The rehabilitation process must be concerned with capacities to engage in independent living, social and leisure activity, and work or other productive activity. For this reason, the research for aging and individuals with neurological impairments should extend beyond the laboratory and inpatient rehabilitation unit to facilities and programs whose focus is on teaching the necessary skills to both family and self in order to achieve optimal community integration. Our team is participating in local events to educate individuals on research involving upcoming rehabilitation strategies and helping build a healthy community. Please contact us if you would like us to present our research and/or ways of healthy living to promote wellness and community integration.
